Quebec and Ontario Self-Guided Tour

CAN - QO1The second of our eastern Canada self-guided tours, the Quebec and Ontario tour takes you on a ride along rivers, through forests and mountain scenery and of course to the mighty Niagara Falls. And don’t forget Canada’s vibrant cities, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

Highlights

  • Montreal
  • Cosmopolitan Toronto and the CN Tower
  • Canada’s capital city Ottawa
  • Niagara Falls
  • Algonquin National Park
  • Mont Tremblant

Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive Montreal. On arrival at Montreal Airport, take the shuttle to our tour hotel. Montreal is known as the city of 100 steeples, also known as the Northern New Orleans. Take in the old port, the Notre Dame Basilica, St Joseph’s Oratory, the underground galleries, the Biodome, the Plateau Mont-Royal and of course the Island Grand Prix ‘circuit’.

DAY 2 Montreal – Kingston (290 km). After breakfast you collected from your hotel to pick up the motorcycle. Once the formalities are out of the way, you’re off! As you ride with the St Lawrence Seaway you’ll see hundreds of small islands – very picturesque. Kingston is a town of great historical and architectural interest, so make sure you take time to stroll along the lively waterfront district with its beautiful houses and old stone buildings or take to the water on a 1000 Islands Cruise.

DAY 3 Kingston – Toronto (330 km). Toronto is Canada’s financial metropolis, known as the ‘Queen City’. It has lots to offer, with great shopping, amazing museums, theatres, old quarters, the CN Tower, and plenty of sporting events.museums, the CN Tower, and plenty of sporting events.

DAY 4 Toronto - Niagara Falls (130 km). A short ride today, but plenty of time to explore cosmopolitan Toronto and see Niagara Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Earth. And if you want to get wet, why not take the ‘Maid of the Mist’, and see Niagara from very close up? For a quieter experience, visit the pretty village of Niagara on the Lake or the Botanic Gardens in Hamilton

CAN - QO2DAY 5 Niagara Falls – Huntsville (275 km). Leaving urban Toronto and the St Lawrence River behind and ride through the Ontario countryside to a true jewel of natural beauty, the Algonquin National Park, 7700 sq. km of lakes and forests. If time allows, visit the Mennonite’s Town of St Jacobs, The Blue Mountains and Georgian Bay on Lake Huron. Around your hotel in Huntsville, you can take a short hike or cycle ride in the wonderful landscape.

DAY 6 Huntsville – Ottawa (350 km). A long and beautiful ride through upper Ontario today, then take time to explore Canada’s capital city, with sights such as the Rideau Canal, the War Museum, the Museum of Civilizations, the Byward market and the parliament tower. Ottawa is often quoted as one of the world’s most pleasant cities.

CAN - QO3DAY 7 Ottawa – Mont Tremblant (250 km). Today’s ride takes us back into Quebec and up into the Laurentian Mountains, with great scenery all the way. This is a favourite place for Canada’s city dwellers to get away from it all in search of nature and leisure. Mont Tremblant Park has 400 lakes, 6 rivers and countless waterfalls and offers plenty of adventure activities as well as some nice rides.

DAY 8 Mont Tremblant – Montreal. A lovely ‘downhill’ ride this morning back to Montreal in time for lunch. After you’ve returned your bike, we’ll take you back to our downtown hotel. Alternatively, if you wish to ride around Montreal, we will schedule your motorcycle return for tomorrow morning.

CAN - QO4DAY 9 Depart Montreal. Take the airport shuttle for your flight home.
